Never think about mowing again
Our weekly mowing plan is simple: we come the same day every week, mow the lawn at the right height for your grass type, edge every hard surface, trim around trees and beds, and blow clippings off the driveway, sidewalks, and porch. You come home to a finished yard — every single week.
What every visit includes
Each visit covers mowing, crisp edging along concrete, string-trimming around obstacles, and a full blow-off so no clippings sit on pavement. Gates get closed behind us. We alternate mowing patterns to avoid ruts, and we cut St. Augustine tall — around 4 inches in summer — to shade out weeds and hold moisture.
Why weekly beats biweekly in Orlando
From spring through fall, Orlando grass grows too fast for biweekly cuts. Waiting two weeks means cutting off more than a third of the blade, which shocks the lawn and opens the door to weeds. Weekly mowing follows the one-third rule, keeps the lawn dense, and costs less in the long run than rescuing a stressed yard.
How It Works
- Get a free quote. Call or send the form. We ask about your lot size, grass type, and gate access, then give you a clear written quote. No visit needed for most standard lots.
- Pick your service day. We assign you a set day each week — say, every Tuesday — and we stick to it. You always know when we are coming.
- First-visit walkthrough. On the first visit we walk the property with you if you are home: we note the grass type, problem spots, sprinkler heads, pet areas, and gate codes. This becomes your lawn's profile.
- Weekly visits, same routine. Every week we mow at the right height, edge every hard surface, trim around trees, beds, and fences, and blow all clippings off pavement. We alternate mowing direction so the grass never develops ruts.
- Weather happens — we adjust. If rain soaks your mow day, we skip rather than tear up a soggy lawn, then come back as soon as it dries. We let you know about any schedule shift.
- Pause or stop anytime. Going on vacation? Having a party? One call pauses or moves your visit. No contracts, no cancellation fees, ever.
The Orlando mowing calendar
Orlando does not have a real winter for grass. St. Augustine slows down from about December to February but it never goes fully dormant the way northern lawns do. That means the mower never really rests — the schedule just shifts.
March through October is peak season. Warm nights and daily rain push St. Augustine hard, and most lawns need a true weekly cut to stay within the one-third rule. Skip a week in July and you are cutting off half the blade, which scalps the lawn and invites weeds.
November through February the growth slows. Many customers keep the weekly visit because leaves, edging, and cleanup still matter — a weekly crew keeps the yard crisp even when the grass barely grows. Others shift to a lighter rhythm. Either way, we never scalp a slow-growing winter lawn just to make it look busy.
The key point: a year-round schedule beats a stop-and-start one. Lawns that get steady care through the cool months green up faster in spring and need less rescue work.
Cut high: the St. Augustine rule
Most Orlando lawns are St. Augustine, and St. Augustine wants to be tall. We cut it at 3.5 to 4 inches in the growing season. Tall grass shades the soil, which does two big jobs: it keeps moisture from baking out of our sandy soil, and it blocks the sunlight weed seeds need to sprout.
Scalping is the number one way homeowners wreck St. Augustine. Cutting it short — two inches or less — exposes the stems, stresses the roots, and hands the lawn over to crabgrass and dollarweed. It can take a full season for a scalped lawn to recover. We would rather mow twice in a heavy-growth week than cut it short once.
Zoysia lawns get a slightly lower cut, around 2 to 2.5 inches, because Zoysia grows denser and more upright. We set the deck to the grass, not to a habit.
Built for HOA neighborhoods
A huge share of Orlando lives under an HOA, and HOAs notice lawns. Most require grass under a set height, edges trimmed along sidewalks and driveways, and no clippings left on pavement. Violation letters usually give you days, not weeks, to fix it.
Weekly service is the simplest way to stay compliant: the lawn never gets tall enough to trigger a notice, edges stay crisp, and clippings never sit on the sidewalk. If your HOA has specific standards — some do, down to the mowing height — tell us and we will mow to them.
